Owl class had a fantastic day at the Museum of Cannock Chase learning all about what it was like for children during WW2. We looked at artefacts from the war and handled them carefully to work out who they could have belonged to. We had a mock air raid drill. The children had the opportunity to see what it was like in a 1940s living room and completed some rationing activities to explore what food was eaten during the war. We ended the day with some drama in WW2 costumes to put ourselves in the roles of people during the war.
The children were an absolute credit to the school and we had a great time! 🙂
