Friday 18th January 2018
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to you with a heavy heart. Mrs Duric has made the tough decision to retire! Her last official day will be on Wednesday 28th February 2018.
There have been a few tears shed and whilst we are very sad that she is leaving us, we are excited for her as she has new adventures in retirement. She can now take holidays in term time!
Over the years, many of you have shared highs and lows with our lovely Mrs Duric, who is famous for her raffles, hampers, toast on Fridays, her famous red lipstick and calling all of our young children ‘her babies’. Everyone will miss her!
We will be having a day of celebration with the children on the 28th February and you are invited to join Mrs Duric, staff and children for a special assembly at 9am on 28th February.
We are having a collection for Mrs Duric, if you would like to contribute to this please send all donations in an envelope, clearly labelled ‘Mrs Duric’s retirement’.
I have asked Mrs Duric if she would consider coming back to school on a relief basis to help us out, so with any luck we will continue to see her smiling face again.
I would like to thank Mrs Duric for all of her hard work during her 17 years at Street Lane. It has been a pleasure to work with her. She has always gone the extra mile for our school and our children and we will always be very grateful and remember her fondly!
