Proposal to seek Foundation Status
Following the governing Body meeting held on 11th October 2016, we are advising parents/carers and other stakeholders of our intention to seek a change of status for Street Lane Primary School from a Community School to a Foundation School. We believe that the Foundation Category change will strengthen the school’s standard and ethos by further strengthening the autonomy and effectiveness of our governance and leadership.
The publication of this formal proposal will begin a statutory 4 week consultation period for representations from all members of the school community. Any person may object to or comment on the proposal. This consultation period will end on Tuesday 22nd November 2016. It will then be for the Governing Body to consider the representations received and determine whether or not to implement the proposal.
