Today we started the day with a whole school assembly discussing ‘What does being healthy mean?’
The children really impressed us. They remembered how to look after your mental health and well-being as well as physical health.
We then split in to 4 groups.
Miss Bestwick’s group practised mindfulness. They took part in breathing activities, mindfulness colouring and mindfulness eating.
Mr Davies’ group completed their 30 minutes of daily activity. They monitored their heart rates and their pulses.
Miss Rawson’s group learnt about a healthy diet and the different food groups.
Mrs Taylor’s group made healthy oaty biscuits. They spoke about traditional snacks and thought of alternative healthy choices.
